End-of-Year Recital


Seasons of Love, 2010

We are so excited for our 15th Anniversary Recital, Season of Love. The recital will be held Saturday, June 12th, 2010. Each dance will center around things that we LOVE - family, friends, pets, shopping, etc! Show 1 will be at 1:00 and Show 2 will be at 5:30. All shows and dress rehearsals will take place at the Carolina Theatre in Durham.

Recital Information

Costume balances are now PAST DUE! If you have not paid your costume balance, please stop by the office or email the office to find out what you owe. Your dancer's costume will NOT be handed out if you have a balance on your account.

Costume Distribution Week will be March 22nd - 27th. You will come to class at your normal time, but will only run your dance once (parents can bring a video camera to film routine to help practicing at home). Plan for at least one parent to be present for your normal class time, as that will be the day to try on each costume and to receive any special costume or recital instructions.

Picture Week will be April 19th - 24th. Please see the revised class schedule for this week.

Several classes will have a different picture time then their normal class time. The Tuesday 1:15 class will come on Tuesday from 5:30-6pm for their picture. You will have regular class at 1:15 this day.

Saturday classes will come as follows:

Saturday 9:30am class will come on Tuesday at 5:55 for your picture.

Saturday 10:30am jazz class will come at 6:15pm on Tuesday.

Saturday 11am ballet class will come at 6:35pm on Tuesday.

Saturday 11:30am tap class will come at 6:55pm on Tuesday.

Saturday 12:00pm jazz class will come at 7:15pm on Tuesday.

Saturday 12:30pm ballet class will come at 7:25pm on Tuesday.

Saturday 1:00pm tap class will come at 7:35pm on Tuesday.

Everyone should come to class with first class costume on and make up and hair already done! Saturday classes will have regular class on Saturday, April 24th.

CDP is taking orders for recital tights. Please print a recital tights order form or grab one in the lobby. Order forms are due to the office by March 20th. Tights colors are listed on the Show 1 and Show 2 dress rehearsal charts below.

There will be Dress Rehearsals held Friday, June 11th for Shows 1 and 2. Click the Show 1 and Show 2 links below for the schedule and dressing room assignments. Please do your best to be there at least 45 minutes earlier than your onstage time!

Trophy lists will be posted in the lobby for 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 year awards. Please initial that your dancer's name is spelled correctly and list which show you would like the trophy given in.

CDP Recital Souvenir Program Ads

New for 2010, CDP will be offering a souvenir program book printed for the recital this year! This program will feature glossy color pages with each class photo as well as dancer ads. Ads can be bought or sold for the program and they will feature individual student’s pictures. Families, friends, businesses, professionals, or groups may purchase ads. Each dancer that buys or sells an ad (or ads) will receive one complimentary program per family. All remaining programs will be on sale at the recital. Recital Choir

If you would like to sing in the recital choir, please email the office. You will need to learn the words to the song (get the song lyrics now) and purchase a white "I heart CDP" shirt in the office. Rehearsals will be:

April 24th from 2-4pm, May 15th from 9-11am, June 5th from 9-11am
