Curriculum for Pre-Dance
Pre-Dance Checklist | Suggested Homework
By the age of three or four, most children seem to have a special feeling for rhythm, and this is the perfect age to encourage them in it. Students learn though dance games, creativity, and other fun activities. We do more than just “creative movement,” we actually teach the foundational principles of dance. We call this curriculum “pre-dance.”
Classes are smaller than average to ensure plenty of one-on-one learning and encouragement at this young age. For this youngest of dancers, we offer:
- Ballet
- Tap
The goals of these classes include:
- To learn dance fundamentals, coordination, and rhythm skills
- To develop classroom skills
- To give them first opportunities to perform, which builds confidence
- To have fun and learn to love dance
Parents, please see our pre-dance checklist and suggested homework assignments.
